The Nigerian Hypertension Society (NHS) is a non-profit non-governmental organisation comprising medical and non-medical people who are interested in the subject of hypertension in Nigeria.

To provide up-to-date knowledge in prevention, early detection, epidemiology, and risk factors, causes, complications, and treatment of hypertension.

Promote Awareness

To promote awareness of hypertension through dissemination of information using electronic and print media.

Innovation

To develop innovative and locally applicable guidelines for the management of hypertension in Nigeria.

Remedies Barriers

To identify and facilitate remedies against sociocultural barriers to blood pressure control in Nigeria.

Translational Researches

To promote translational research on hypertension and related cardio-metabolic abnormalities and their complications.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the Nigeria Hypertension Society is open to all medical and non-medical individuals with interest in hypertension.
